Chapter 9

The Strange Lights – Cosmic Journey

Then I saw a faint light at the far end of the room. It grew brighter and brighter, changing to green and then to a deep red color. The light became so bright that it hurt my eyes, and I had to close them. When I opened my eyes again, the light was less bright. As it grew dimmer, I realized I could see through the red light and through the wall of my room. 

Beyond the wall, I saw a wide, flat land that seemed to go on forever. The land was dark, just like my room. Slowly, more details of this strange place became clear to me. Then suddenly, the light went out, and what I was seeing disappeared. In that moment, I noticed something very strange – I was no longer sitting in my chair! I felt as if I was floating above it, looking down at something dark and still below me. 

Then a cold wind touched my skin, and I found myself outside in the night air, rising up into the darkness. The air felt very cold around me. I looked around and saw only darkness with a few distant lights. I kept moving upward. When I looked back once, I could see the Earth far below me, a small blue ball in space. The sun was a bright white light, very far away. As more time went by, I saw the Earth again, now just a tiny blue dot. I felt very small, like a feather moving away from Earth into the unknown parts of space. 

I felt like many hours passed. I couldn’t see anything around me now. I had moved past the stars into empty darkness. My body felt light but cold. Fear filled me as I realized I was lost. What would happen to me? Where was I going? Just as my fear was growing stronger, I noticed a faint red light ahead. It seemed far away, but seeing it made me feel a little less afraid. The red light became clearer and larger as I moved toward it. It looked like a huge, soft red glow. I kept moving closer to it. Soon it looked like a giant red sea spreading out in all directions. 

Then I began to move downward toward this red light. I passed through red clouds and came out above a huge, flat land. I realized it was the same strange place I had seen earlier from my room. I landed and stood on this empty ground. It was dark and silent all around me. In the distance, I saw a large ring of red fire in the sky. The flames were tall and moved slowly. Inside the ring was completely black. I understood that this unusual sun was giving light to this strange place.
